Mr Hang Chen

Acupuncturist · Member of CMCNZ

Trained in both Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Hang completed a five‑year full‑time Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Shaanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1992. He later continued his postgraduate studies at the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, HANG obtained his Master’s degree in TCM and Acupuncture in 2004. Hang has worked in two public hospitals in China as a Deputy Chief Physician and specialist acupuncturist. In 2005, he relocated to New Zealand, bringing extensive clinical experience in acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chinese osteopathy, and therapeutic massage. From 2009 to 2012, he also served as a Senior Lecturer in Acupuncture at the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine. In 2008, Hang and his wife Lucy established their first acupuncture clinic. Today, they operate three clinics serving the Christchurch and Rangiora communities. Hang is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

Mrs Lucy Du

Lucy DU was trained in both Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in China. She graduated from Xi’an Medical University in 1995 and completed a further specialised training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Before moving to New Zealand in 2006, Lucy worked in two public hospitals in China, gaining extensive clinical experience in integrative medical care. In 2008, Lucy and her husband Hang Chen, established their first acupuncture clinic. Since then, they have expanded their services and now operate three acupuncture clinics serving Christchurch and Rangiora, providing professional acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments to the local community.
